My husband looked at this image with me and provided the football terms, since I'm not a fan of the sport.Because She is His WorldHe’s no terrorist. The mask’s symbolic.Sincerity in his dark eyes gives him away. He’s in a baseball cap, but this sportis rougher. His roll out causes no uproarin the stands. He wears no uniform, butgrips a big bouquet in one hand. He’s hoping the array of flowers don’tspread and fly to the wind. He’ll toss it highand hope for the best. His left arm, straight, blocks his rival at the throat, a guywho caught her eye and swayed her.Yes, his maneuver’s offensive, but he’s desperate. He takes a fewsteps back, then to the side as he aimshis pass. “Go deeper,” he calls to hisreceiver. “You’ll see what really matters, who cares more.” Forgetting scores, no thoughfor losing or winning, he throw his Hail Mary.
Oops--should be "array...doesn't/"
And that should have been "thought" not "though" (2nd to last line). This poem was a response to the Banksy painting on the wall that you posted today (11/10).
