  1. I am going to revise poems that:
explore the U.S. system of health care which addresses health as a commodity/product, bought and sold for profit; rather than as an equitably resourced service meeting the fundamental human need for health.

For today’s Poem I am choosing a poem from my collection titled: Nurse Aid- Buried Treasure.....It’s not very good, yet.

    1. That's great. I think that collection is amazing. Really incredible and the work is going to take it where you need it to go!

    1. Is that the title of the collection? Cool title!

    2. It's me being silly, but that sounds like a good idea. I need to look at one of my collections I write for you which have the best chance of needing cleaning.

  3. Hi Everybody.

I wrote a series of auto-ekphrastic poems for my blog that are ok, but desperately need revising (one of my least honed skills).

Each poem has its own little heart but in general they seem to be about the needs of a community: transit systems, utilities, streetlights, etc.

I chose these because one of my constraints was a 7 line form, although I would engage in some pretty long lines (bardic breath stuff).

    1. That sounds great. What is the name of the form?

  4. No name for the form yet. It's fun! I was thinking it might be interesting to add a repeated line constraint, or have one particular line be a synthesis of two preceding lines, sort of like the way the form "The Unit" works. :)

  5. I will be revising my nature/earth science poems, beginning with one I've just drafted that (which?) doesn't have a title yet. Its about the discomfort the speaker sees in the 'dead' aspects of winter and how he/she wishes that it would snow to cover it up... I'm a few days behind because I just discovered this blog! I also do a major focus each week through my self-education, and I'm busy (a few jobs, a kiddo, etc...) so I may not always be timely :-(
