June 23

  1. Divorce eclipsed

I settled the wheat grains under a blanket of earth.
I scouted with microscopic earnst for signs of growth.
I smiled with the yellow green shoots
I trickled water showers on their necks.
I shook spaghetti roots and parachuted them into new fingered holes.
I belly laughed as the flags grew waste high.
I danced with the wind as they waved.
I watched as sentry as they became old and brown.
I loosened their precious birthright from their tossled heads
I winnowed chaff into a compost tower
I turned humus for the next spring crop
    Then divorce eclipsed and
    I lost my loves.
